Men's Tennis Heads to Notre Dame

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads on the road to take on Notre Dame on Friday at 4 p.m. at Eck Pavilion. Admission is free.

WMU has dropped the last three matches against the Fighting Irish, falling last season and its only two losses during the 2020-21 season. The match can be watched live www.und.com/tennistream.

The Broncos kicked off the spring season last Saturday with two dominant 7-0 victories over Butler and Illinois-Chicago. WMU won every singles match in two sets and swept all three doubles matches in each.

ACHIEVMENT UNLOCKED
Senior Peter Kuszynski picked up four total wins last Saturday, pushing him to 179 for his career. Kuszynski moves up to 15th on WMU's all-time total wins list. He needs 21 more to become the seventh Bronco to reach 200 career total wins.

ROAD WARRIORS
The quick trip to Notre Dame marks the first of four straight road matches for the Broncos. Western Michigan heads to Purdue next Friday and then on to Wisconsin on Feb. 3. WMU then battles Yale in Madison on Feb. 4. The Broncos do not return home until they host Drake on Friday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m.
