KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team kicks off its fall schedule hosting the annual WMU/Vredevelt Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Sorensen Courts.
Admission is free.
The Broncos welcome Butler, Chicago State, Cleveland State, DePaul and Navy to their annual fall invitational. The first round of doubles competition begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by singles.
WMU opens with the duo of
Peter Kuszynski and
Jackson Boone taking on Navy's Segraves and Nguyen.
Ferdinand Schlueter and
Benjamin George will battle CSU's Pahwa and Hidalgo,
Fynn Lohse and
Brogan Pierce are slated to play Chicago State's Alvarez and Sandoval.
Anton Arzhankin has been paired with
Arjun Honnappa will also take on the team of Verma and Minsaas from DePaul.
In singles action it will be Pierce against Hidalgo, Schlueter against Chappell, Kuszynski takes on Alvarez, George battles Cleveland State's Mindry, while Lohse draws the Vikings' Boyer. Arzankin has been paired against Butler's Arts, with Honnapa also taking on a Bulldog in Konakanchi. The final pairing for WMU pits Boone against Matyjas from Cleveland State.
