KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team continues its road swing to open the 2022 season, traveling south to take on Arkansas on Thursday at 8 p.m.

WMU is still searching for its first win of the season, dropping games at Butler and Notre Dame. The Broncos (0-2-1) picked up their first positive result of the season last Thursday, a 1-1 draw at Detroit Mercy.
FIRST ON THE BOARD
Junior midfielder/forward Bria Telemaque was the first Bronco to find the back of the net this season. The goal was also the first for the Indiana transfer as a Bronco. The goal was set up by Kayla Whelchel and calmly slotted into the right corner of the net.
SCOUTING THE RAZORBACKS
Arkansas (2-1-0) enters Thursday on a two-game winning streak, recently defeating Oklahoma, 6-1, on the road and Arkansas State, 4-1, at home.
Of the 10 goals that the Razorbacks have scored this season, no player has scored more than one. Ava Tankersly leads the team with five points on one goal and a team-high three assists. Jessica DeFillipio leads the team with seven shots on goal. Grace Barbara has started all three games, making 13 saves on the season.
HOME SWEET HOME, FINALLY
Western Michigan finally makes its debut at the WMU Soccer Complex next Thursday, hosting Cincinnati at 4 p.m. Admission is free.
