CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan track and field team landed 12 student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, announced by the league office on Friday.

Kailyn Mince (3.73, Earth Science),
Madison Ochs (3.73, Biomedical Sciences),
Maggie Raab (3.63, Marketing),
Paisley Sipes (3.68, Art),
Brooke Soper (3.84, University Curriculum) and
Katelyn Spooner (3.74, Accounting).
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Hall was just one of 23 out of the 196 student-athletes in women's track and field in the conference to boast a 4.0 GPA. Sarinity and
Trinity Bracey and Raab earn the honors during outdoor season for the first times in their careers.
