Skyy Moore was selected with the 22nd pick (54
th overall) in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday night.
Moore becomes the 43rd player in program history to be taken and the sixth under head coach
Tim Lester. The New Kensington, Pa., native is the first WMU player to be selected by the Chiefs. He is the sixth wide receiver in program history to be taken in the draft, the fourth in the first two rounds, and is the third highest behind Greg Jennings (52nd overall, 2006) and Corey Davis (5th overall).
Moore wrapped up his sophomore season with a career-high 95 receptions and 1,292 yards with 10 touchdowns. He was a First Team All-MAC selection in 2022 and in 2019. Moore was also an Academic All-MAC honoree in 2022.
For his career he appeared in 30 games in three seasons, which included the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. He caught 171 passes for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns. He leaves the Broncos ranked seventh all-time in career receiving yards and eighth all-time in career receptions.
