Fish Sits Tied for Fourth After Round One of Don Benbow Invitational

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – Western Michigan junior golfer Alissa Fish sits tied for fourth place after the opening round of the Don Benbow Invitational at Jacksonville Beach Golf Course on Monday afternoon.

Fish shot a 74 (+4) to open play, tying for the tournament top mark in pars with 13. She sits just one shot out of third place, three out of second and four behind leader Ally Ross from Butler.

The Broncos combined too shoot a 321 (+37), just three shots out of fifth place. Senior Imogen Courtney was WMU's second finisher, shooting an 80 (+9). Fiona Khaing, competing as an individual, also shot an 80. Freshman Ally Barth finished two strokes behind them with an 82, while seniors Cameryn Lucia and Brooke Gibbons finished with an 85 and an 87.

Western Michigan wraps up play on Tuesday.
