NORMAL, Ill. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team is set to spend the weekend at Illinois State University and the sixth annual Redbird Invitational.
The Broncos join Eastern Illinois, DePaul, Chicago State, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois, Bellarmine, Lindenwood and Central Florida at the tournament.
Western Michigan has competed in two fall tournaments so far this season and have posted a dominant record in singles play. WMU's eight student-athletes have a combined record of 30-8 for a .789 win percentage. Jackson Boone, Arjun Honnappa, Fynn Lohse and Ferdinand Schlueter are each 3-0 on the season. Sophomore Anton Arzhankin and junior Benjamin George have a team-high five wins each.
Up next for the Broncos is the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regionals at the University of Illinois, Oct. 20-24.
