BIRMINGHAM, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team wraps up the fall portion of its 2022-23 season this Monday and Tuesday at the Chippewa Invitational, hosted by Central Michigan at the Birmingham Country Club.
The Broncos will compete against the host Chippewas, along with Bowling Green, Bellarmine, Loyola Chicago, North Carolina A&T, Oakland, Detroit Mercy and Toledo. The tournament is two rounds and the course measures out to 5,897 yards and will play as a par 72.
WMU will set a lineup of Alissa Fish, Natalie Samdal, Haley Barclay, Megha Vallabhaneni and Jenna Hayes.
Western Michigan has played in four tournaments so far this fall, finishing in the top three in three of them and a season-best second place in the Briar Ridge Invite. The Broncos set a new record for a 54-hole score at the Ball State Cardinal Classic, taking third with an 891.
Western Michigan returns to action Feb. 6-7 at the Falcon Florida Classic in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
