FIRST AND FIVE
#MACTION ON THE HORIZON
Saturday's Homecoming game against Ohio is Western Michigan's last Saturday home game of the season. The Broncos head down to Miami (Ohio) next Saturday to wrap up weekend play for the regular season. After that, it's #MACtion for four straight games before the regular season closes out with a 12 p.m. Black Friday home game against Toledo.

BOUNCING BACK
Both of Western Michigan's wins this season have come after losses, with WMU defeating Ball State 37-30 and New Hampshire 44-7. Offensive output has been the big key in both, with the Broncos averaging 396.5 yards per game in the wins. Both the run and the pass gave were prevalent in the victories. In the bounce-back win over the Cardinals, both units eclipsed 200 yards, the only time that has happened this season.  WMU's offensive line has also done an exceptional job in the wins, allowing just one sack and helping the run game average 4.6 yards per rush.

ON THE BOARD
Western Michigan redshirt freshman tight end Blake Bosma scored his first collegiate touchdown in the loss to Eastern Michigan. Bosma is tied for second on the team with 16 receptions and is fourth on the team in receiving yards with 92. Bosma was thrust into action in fall camp after an injury to WMU's projected starting tight end Austin Hence.

ALL EVERYTHING
Junior do-it-all running back Sean Tyler had 113 total yards against Eastern Michigan and now ranks 22nd in the nation in all-purpose yards at 133.8 per game. Tyler has amassed 335 yards on the ground, 86 yards receiving and a career-high 382 yards on kick off returns. Tyler has also tallied a touchdown in each way, scoring five total.

TACKLE MACHINE
Linebacker Zaire Barnes now leads the team with 52 total tackles this season, including 3.5 for loss and 0.5 sacks. Barnes has an 11 tackle lead on senior middle linebacker Corvin Moment. Barnes has done most of the work himself, though, with 33 solo tackles on the season. Andre Carter, Bricen Garner and Delano Ware are tied for second with 20 solos. Barnes rankes 19th in the nation in solo tackles.
