Women's Soccer Heads to Miami, Hosts EMU on Sunday for Senior Day

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team heads on the road to take on Miami at 4 p.m. before returning to the WMU Soccer Complex to host Eastern Michigan on Sunday for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
 
The Broncos (3-5-5, 3-1-2 MAC) are coming off a split last week with a home loss to Central Michigan and a 2-0 road win at formerly first place Ball State.
 
LOG JAM
WMU heads into Thursday's match with the RedHawks in a three-way tie for third place. Bowling Green, Kent and the Broncos all sit with 3-1-2 records. Western Michigan and BGSU tied earlier in the season and the Broncos defeated the Golden Flashes.
 
The trio sit behind Ball State in second place and leaders Buffalo, who remain undefeated in conference play with a 4-0-2 record.
 
CAREER YEAR CONTINUES
Senior forward Reagan Wisser continues her career-best season, adding another goal to her team-leading total. Wisser scored the second goal of the 2-0 win over Ball State on Sunday. The Richland, Mich., native has netted five goals on the season on just 21 shots. Prior to the season Wisser had scored just one goal in career.
 
SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
Miami sits right behind the third-place log jam with a 2-1-3 record in conference play. The RedHawks are unbeaten in their last three games with a 2-1 win over Akron and a pair of ties last week against Buffalo and Kent State.
 
Sophomore Makenna Morrison leads the team in scoring with five goals, while Norah Roush and Madeline Schlect each have three. Midfielder Camber Hayes has a team-best seven assists. Senior Izzie Vaccari has played every second in net for Miami, making 44 total saves and recording six shutouts.
 
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Eastern Michigan sits in 11th place in the MAC with a 1-4-1 record. EMU heads to Toledo to take on the Rockets on Thursday before heading to Kalamazoo on Sunday. The Eagles' lone win came in a 3-2 decision against Akron.
 
Maddie O'Farrell leads the team in points with 11 on four goals and three assists, while Megan Lukowski and Hannah Thompson each have three goals. Rebecca Przybylo has started in 11 of the 13 games, making 24 saves with one shutout.
 
ON THE HORIZON
Western Michigan hosts Akron next Thursday for its final home game of the season at 4 p.m. The Broncos then head on the road to take on Ohio on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m.
