Bronco Hockey Checks in at No. 5 in Both National Polls

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team spends another week among the nation's best, coming in at No. 5 in both the DCU/U.S. College Hockey Online and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Polls on Monday.

WMU is coming off of a split at No. 7 Minnesota-Duluth, falling on Friday to the Bulldogs 5-4 before winning in overtime on Saturday, 3-2. The Broncos (17-6-0, 9-5-0-1-0-0 NCHC) currently sit in third place in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and are the second-highest ranked program in the NCHC. This is the 13th week in the top 15 for WMU and its seventh in the top 10.

Western Michigan heads back on the road to continue conference play this weekend, traveling to Colorado College for games on Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET and Saturday at 8 p.m. ET. The game can be seen live on NCHC.tv and heard live on the Bronco Media Network.
