KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team opens up Mid-American Conference play this week at home, where they will host the Falcons of Bowling Green. SCOUTING THE FLACONS
Bowling Green (1-4-2) roll into Kalamazoo coming off of a 1-1 tie with No. 17 Xavier. The Falcons score came from junior defender Audrey Shea, with redshirt senior forward Nikki Cox and junior forward Kennedy White each picking up an assist. This gave the Falcons and early lead until the end of the first half, when Xavier's final shot attempt of the half found the back of the net to even the score.
Junior midfielder Katie Cox and junior forward Madison Alberty added two shots, respectively, in the contest. Redshirt junior goalkeeper Lili Berg tallied eight saves on the afternoon as well.
SCOUTING THE ROCKETS
Toledo (5-1-2) is coming off of a 1-0 over-time win at Illinois State. UT has posted four 1-0 wins on the season and have allowed just three total goals on the season.
Freshman Olivia Dault leads all Rockets with three goals on the season, while Ellie Pool has two goals and an assist. Sophomore Emma Boutorwick has played all but three minutes between the sticks for Toledo, making 30 total saves and recording five shutouts.
