MUNCIE, Ind. – The Western Michigan golf team makes its annual trip to Ball State University for the Ball State Cardinal Classic at The Players Club in Yorktown, Ind., on Monday.
WMU is one of 16 teams that will take part in the tournament. This is the first 54-hole tournament for the Broncos this season, with two rounds being played on Monday and the final round on Tuesday. Western Michigan will battle Mid-American Conference foes Akron, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Ohio and the host Cardinals in the large field.

WMU opened the season last weekend at Youngstown State's Roseann Schwartz Invitational, taking seventh place. Junior
Alissa Fish and junior transfer
Haley Barclay both finished in the top 15, with Fish being the Broncos' top finisher in 13th.
The Broncos take a week off before heading to Eastern Michigan for the annual Shirley Spork Invitational on Oct. 4-5.
