Golf Takes Seventh at Roseann Schwartz Invitational

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the season, finishing in seventh place at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State University at Mill Creek Park Golf Course on Tuesday.
 
The Broncos combined to shoot a 313 for a 36-hole total of 626 (+50). Akron won the tournament with a 590 (+14).
 
WMU had two individuals finish in the top 15. Junior Alissa Fish ended up the top finisher tied for 13th with a 152 (+8) after shooting a final round of 74. Junior transfer Haley Barclay finished right behind her with a 153 (+9) to tie for 15th. Brooke Gibbons finished with a 158 (+14), along with Imogen Courtney and Fiona Khaing to round out WMU's top five. Senior Cameryn Lucia finished with a 161 +(17).
 
Western Michigan is back in action next Monday and Tuesday with its annual trip to the Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State.
