CLEVELAND – The Western Michigan golf team landed four student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team, announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.
Junior
Imogen Courtney (3.75, physics), sophomore
Alissa Fish (3.91, product design), junior
Brooke Gibbons (3.91, integrated supply management) and junior
Fiona Khaing (3.26, management) all earned the honors.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
All four earn the honors for the first time. Fish, in her first year of eligibility, and Courtney, Gibbons and Khaing due to the cancelation of the 2019-20 season due to COVID-19.
