Scouting the Broncos
Western Michigan enters the weekend with an overall record of 17-12 and 16-12 in conference play. The Broncos are coming off a split against Northern Illinois, winning the first two games of the series before dropping the final two. WMU has now won or split each of its last six MAC series.
Home Sweet Home
WMU returns to Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field for two of its final three weekend series. WMU is 9-7 at home this season and is hitting .325 with 96 runs scored on 151 hits.
Personal Home Run Derby
Over the past two weekends the Broncos have belted 15 home runs in eight games. Overall WMU ranks third in the MAC with 37 home runs.

WMU's 16 conference victories already marks the most MAC wins under head coach
Billy Gernon. WMU's 16 MAC wins is the most since having 16 back in 2006.

WMU's offense ranks third in the MAC with a .278 batting average. The Broncos also rank fifth in the MAC with 233 runs scored.

Sophomore RHP
Easton Sikorski in his last five starts has registered a 4-1 record with a 3.09 ERA in 32.0 innings. Over the last five starts Sikorski has tallied 31 strikeouts to go along with two seven-inning complete games.

Sean O'Keefe and
Blake Dunn are each hitting over .300 this season. The trio has combined for 69 runs scored, 21 doubles, 12 home runs and 72 RBIs.
Charping It Around
Junior
Connor Charping has been dominant at the plate for the Brown & Gold, leading the Broncos in batting average (.390), runs scored (35), hits (55) and stolen bases (23).
Scouting the Opponent
Central Michigan heads into the weekend atop the MAC standings with an overall record of 31-13 and 22-6 in conference play. CMU is coming off a 5-1 victory over Northwood on Tuesday in non-conference action. This past weekend CMU split its four-game series with Ball State.
Offensively the Chippewas hit .272 as a team and are led by Zach Gilles who leads CMU with a .366 batting average. Justin Simpson ranks first on the team with 34 RBIs to go along with a .353 slugging percentage and a .465 on-base percentage.
On the mound Central Michigan boasts a staff ERA of 3.43, the second lowest in the MAC. CMU has four pitchers with a 3.00 ERA or lower and are led by Andrew Taylor with an 8-3 record and a 1.58 ERA.
