Golf Heads to the ISU Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team heads to Indiana State University for the 2021 ISU Invitational on Sunday and Monday.
 
The tournament will be played at the Country Club of Terre Haute with the course set at a par of 72 and measuring 5,900 yards. WMU will compete against the hosts ISU, Butler, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Green Bay, Northern Iowa, Rose-Hulman and Valparasio. The first round begins at 11 a.m. on Sunday and the second round at 9 a.m. on Monday. No live scoring will be provided.
 
After a long wait the Broncos opened the season last week at the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky. WMU tied for 13th in the 54-hole tournament, finishing with a score of 930 (+36).
Junior Brooke Gibbons was WMU's top individual finisher, tying for 28th with a score of 228 (+12).
 
The Broncos will mix it up with some Mid-American Conference members next Saturday and Sunday at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green.
