White, Lee Named All-MAC Honorable Mention

CLEVELAND – Western Michigan men's basketball senior forward Greg Lee and sophomore guard B. Artis White earned honorable mention All-Mid-American Conference honors, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Lee in his first year as a Bronco averaged 13.0 points per game and led the team with 7.2 rebounds per game. Lee ranked seventh in the MAC in rebounds per game and fifth in the conference in defensive rebounds per game (5.8). The senior forward led the Broncos in rebounding in 12 of the 21 games.

The Rockford, Ill., native posted a team-high four double-doubles and ended the season with five straight double digit performances. Lee also shot 50.4 percent from the field, the 10th best mark in the MAC. Lee registered 14 games in double-digits with
two 20-point performances.

Lee's best performance as a Bronco came on Jan. 23 against Akron, scoring a career-high 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field. Lee against the Zips had four rebounds to go along with four assists in 31 minutes of action.
Sophomore guard B. Artis White led the Brown & Gold at 14.3 points per game and 54 three-pointers. White's 54 three's was the sixth highest in the MAC while his .441 three-point field goal percentage ranked fourth. The sophomore guard had a team-high 16 games in double figures with three 20-point games.

White led the Broncos in scoring 11 times this season and made at least three from long distance in six of the final seven games he played in. The Canton, Mich., native scored 272 points during the 2020-21 campaign, the 26th most in school history by a sophomore. White will enter next season having knocked down at least one three-pointer in 19 consecutive games.

White matched his career-high three times this season with his best game coming on Feb. 25 against Miami. White tied his career-high with 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field with a stellar six three-pointers. White also matched his career-high with seven rebounds to go along with one assist and one steal.
