Fynn Lohse from the Western Michigan men's tennis team have earned Mid-American Conference Men's Doubles Team of the Week honors for their performance in sweeps of Grand Valley State and Ferris State over the weekend.
The duo went 4-0 in doubles play as the Broncos swept both the Lakers and the Bulldogs to start off the season with a 4-0 record.
Against GVSU they began the day at No. 2 doubles and opened the season with a 6-2 win. They moved up to No. 1 doubles for the evening match and won 6-1. Against FSU they started off at No. 1 doubles, winning 6-1 and later winning 6-2 at No. 2 to close out the weekend.
Honnappa, Lohse and the rest of the Broncos are back in action on Sunday, hosting DePaul at 2 p.m. at the West Hills Athletic Club. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, no spectators are allowed.
