COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Western Michigan hockey's Drew Worrad and Aidan Fulp have earned Bauer National Collegiate Hockey Conference weekly honors after their performances is WMU's sweep of St. Lawrence.
Worrad was named Bauer NCHC Forward of the Week after tallying six points in the wins over the Saints. In Friday's 8-2 win he had four points on a goal and three assists and finished +2. He set up WMU's second, third and sixth goals, while scoring the team's fifth. On Saturday he assisted on WMU's second and fifth goals of the game. Worrad's weekend kept him at the top as the nation's leading scorer with 25 points in 14 games this season.
Fulp finished with three points over the weekend. On Friday he helped the penalty kill go 6-for-7 and assisted on the team's sixth goal. On Saturday the PK was a perfect 4-for-4 and Fulp assisted on the game's opening goal, while scoring his second goal of the season to put the Broncos up 4-1.
The Broncos are back in NCHC action this weekend at Miami on Friday and Saturday. Friday's puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m., with Saturday starting at 5:05 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on NCHC.tv and heard live on the Bronco Media Network.
