CLEVELAND – For the second straight season, Western Michigan's
Logan Case has been selected to the Mid-American Conference Championship All-Tournament Team, the league office announced on Wednesday evening at the conclusion of the tournament.
The sophomore setter was instrumental in WMU's run to the semifinals, totaling 94 assists (13.43/set) and 18 digs (2.57/set) in the Broncos' two matches.
Named the MAC Setter of the Year and an All-MAC First Team selection for the second straight season earlier in the weekend, Case opened with 47 assists and helped Western Michigan hit .285 in a 3-0 victory over No. 5 Toledo in Sunday's quarterfinal round.
In Monday's semifinal match against league champion Ball State, Case handed out 47 more assists and added 13 digs for her team-leading 16th double-double of the season. The Maineville, Ohio, native had 17 of her assists in the second set alone, a frame in which the Broncos hit .421.
Case led the Mid-American Conference with 1317 total assists and 11.76 assists/set this season. Her 11.76 assists/set currently rank third nationally.
