KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan women's basketball head Coach
Shane Clipfell was honored this past weekend by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan.
Coach Clipfell has spent time at three different levels of basketball, including high school, junior college, and Division I. He received recognition for reaching 300 career wins across all three levels of coaching that he has been head coach for.
Clipfell's overall record as a head coach is 388-254, with 203 of those wins coming at the college level from his time at Glen Oaks Community College, Eastern Michigan, and Western Michigan. He was also very successful at the high school level earlier on in his career, posting a record of 185-65 at Colon High School.
Coach Clipfell and the Bronco women's basketball team open their regular season with a matchup against Kentucky State at home on Nov. 9. Game time at University Arena is currently TBA.
