KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Twelve Western Michigan baseball student-athletes continue to shine through the first month of the summer collegiate baseball league season.
The Broncos have 12 players competing in the Michigan South Pod of the Northwoods League while two are competing in the Midwest Collegiate League.

NORTHWOODS LEAGUE
Kalamazoo Growlers (16-15-1, 2nd)
Blake Dunn – (.338 AVG / 21 R / 3 HR / 13 RBI / 14 stolen bases )
Dunn currently lead the Northwoods League Michigan South Pod in batting average, runs scored, doubles (6), triples (2), home runs (3) and stolen bases (14).
Max Huntley – (5 games / 3 R / 1 BB / .286 OBP)
Has played in five games with the Growlers, registering at least one run scored in three.
Will Morrison – (.200 AVG / 10 R / 1 HR / 8 RBI / 12 BB / .355 OBP)
Registered a hit in two of the last three games for the Growlers. Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, one home run and one RBI against the Mac Daddies on July 29.
Will Mullen – (10 app. / 1 save / 9.2 IP / 9 strikeouts)
Ranks third in the Northwoods League Michigan South Pod in appearances and eighth in saves. Has recorded at least one strikeout in nine of his 10 appearances.
Battle Creek Bombers (19-10-1, 1st)
Josh Swinehart – (.225 AVG / 8 R / 2 2B / 1 3B / 1 HR / 4 RBI
Ranks seventh on the Battle Creek Bombers in batting average and fifth in runs scored. Went 1-for-2 with one run scored in a 2-0 win over the Mac Daddies on July 30.
Drew Szczepaniak – (8 app. / 9.1 IP / 2-0 / 0.00 ERA / 11 strikeouts)
Ranks second in the Northwoods League Michigan South Pod in wins and is one of three pitchers in the league to have a 0.00 ERA.
Kalamazoo Mac Daddies (8-18-2, 3rd)
Dane Armbrustmacher – (6 app. / 11.0 IP / 1.64 ERA / 8 strikeouts)
In the top five on the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies in ERA and ranks sixth on the team in strikeouts. Has recorded two strikeouts in back-to-back appearances.
Gavin Doyle – (.267 AVG / 6 R / 12 H / 8 RBI / 7 BB / .370 OBP)
Ranks third on the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies in batting average. Went 1-for-3 with one run scored, one double and two RBIs on July 23 against the Battle Creek Bombers.
Easton Sikorski – (6 app. / 14.2 IP / 2-1 / 4.30 ERA / 9 strikeouts)
Sikorski is tied for second in the Northwoods League Michigan South Pod in wins. Sikorski ranks second on the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies in games started and innings pitched.
Jack Huisman – (6 app. / 7 IP / 1 save / 1.29 ERA / 4 strikeouts)
Notched a summer-high two strikeouts in one inning on July 24 against the Kalamazoo Growlers. Huisman is one of just four players on the Kalamazoo Mac Daddies to have recorded a save.

Northwest Indiana Oilmen (16-7, 1st)
Luke Pappas – (5 app. / 10 IP / 1.80 ERA / 15 strikeouts)
Had registered at least four strikeouts in three straight appearances. In his last appearance on July 23 against the Crestwood Panthers, Pappas went two innings, allowing one earned run on one hit with four strikeouts.
MCL Minutemen (8-15, 5th)
Ryan Missal – (.214 AVG / 9 R / 2 HR / 9 RBI / 9 stolen bases)
Went 2-for-5 with one run scored on July 27 against the Crestwood Panthers. Has recorded at least one hit in four of the last five contests.
