KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan golf head coach Elise Swartout-Mosher has resigned effective immediately.
A national search for her replacement is under way.
"I can't thank Kathy Beauregard, President Montgomery, Jeff Stone and the late Dennis Corbin enough for giving me the opportunity to head the women's golf program for the past four years," Swartout-Mosher said. "It truly was a dream come true. To play and coach at the same university is so special. Western Michigan has, and always will, hold such a special place in my heart."
"We would like to thank Elise for her hard work during her four years with the golf program," said WMU Director of Athletics Kathy Beauregard. "We wish her and her family the best."
Swartout-Mosher was hired prior to the 2016-17 season, becoming the program's third head coach in its history and the first WMU alum to take the helm. Swartout-Mosher was a two-time All-Mid-American Conference selection as a Bronco during her career, from 2007-10.
As head coach, she led WMU to three tournament wins in her four seasons and 13 top-three finishes. Broncos have also claimed five individual tournament titles during her run as coach. Jasmine Chee earned MAC All-Tournament Team honors in 2017, while Julia Champion earned Second Team All-MAC honors in 2018 under Swartout-Mosher. Broncos combined to earn nine Academic All-MAC selections as well.
