KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan sophomore wide receiver
Skyy Moore has been named to the preseason Biletnikoff Award Watch List. The award is given annually to the nation's outstanding college receiver by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation. The selection marks Moore's first on a preseason watch list.
Moore, a 5-9, 195-pound New Kensington, Pa., product, has earned preseason first team All-Mid-American Conference honors by
Athlon Sports and second team accolades by
Phil Steele. In 13 career games (12 starts), he has collected 51 pass receptions for 802 yards (15.73) and three touchdowns.
Last year, Moore was a first team All-MAC pick, becoming the first Bronco wide receiver to be first team All-MAC since
Corey Davis in 2016. Moore was also the first MAC true freshman wide receiver to be first team all-league since Roger Lewis of Bowling Green in 2014, the first in WMU history and just the third in the MAC since 1982.
During 2019 in the MAC, Moore ranked fourth in receiving yards per game (61.69), fourth in total receiving yards, ninth in yards per reception and tied for 10th in receptions per game (3.92). Nationally, he ranked 86th in receiving yards and 87th in receiving yards per game and yards per reception. Moore led MAC freshmen in receiving yards, receptions and receptions per game while standing fourth nationally in receiving yards among rookies. Moore posted three performances of 100 yards or more, against Ohio (162), Northern Illinois (125) and Toledo (101). His receiving yardage against Ohio marked the second most in program history by a freshman, only trailing Corey Alston's 263 versus Eastern Michigan in 1997
