CLEVELAND -Â Sophomore
Peter Kuszynski has
 been named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week for men's tennis, as announced on Wednesday. The Broncos have now earned this honor for the third consecutive time, following
Kennosuke Nouchi on January 22 and
Jannik Opitz on January 29.
Against #16 Michigan on Saturday, Kuszynski defeated senior Connor Johnston at No. 3 singles in straight sets (6-4, 7-5). The Ontario native has started his dual season 11-5 overall and has won two consecutive singles matches for the Broncos.Â
This marks the first time that Peter has picked up MAC Singles Player of the Week honors in his career. He collected two Doubles Team of the Week awards as a freshman with teammate
Jack Randall.
Western Michigan will travel to East Lansing on Friday for a match with Big Ten opponent Michigan State at 6 p.m.
