CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced on Wednesday that Western Michigan baseball senior Ethan Hajdukovic has been named MAC Male Scholar Athlete of the Week for the Week of February 17-23.

Hajdukovic helped lead the Broncos to a four-game series sweep of Alabama A&M last weekend with a .474 batting average to go along with eight RBIs, seven runs scored, three doubles, one triple and one home run. Hajdukovic also drew four walks against the Bulldogs and had a stolen base.

Last weekend the Inverness, Ill. native recorded a .565 on-base percentage and a .895 slugging percentage and matched his career-high three separated times with two runs scored. In the series finale on Sunday Hajdukovic had a career day going a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs, two walks and two runs scored.

Through the first seven games of his senior campaign Hajdukovic has a. 378 batting average with eight RBIs and seven runs scored.

Hajdukovic holds a 3.88 cumulative grade point average in Accounting and is a two-time Academic All-MAC selection.
