Eskridge Named to Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for Second Straight Week

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  For the second straight week Western Michigan football redshirt senior wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge has been named to the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll announced by the Louisville Sports Commission on Monday.

Against Northern Illinois Eskridge led the Broncos with seven receptions for 134 yards in Western Michigan's 30-27 victory last Saturday. His 134 yards for Eskridge marked the seventh game in his career he has went over 100 yards receiving. Eskridge also had one rush for 27 yards on a reverse play that set up the game-winning field goal.

Overall Eskridge had a season-high 285 all-purpose yards, including a 100-yard kick-return touchdown. Eskridge was responsible for 285 of WMU's 325 total yards. The redshirt senior wide receiver leads the Mid-American Conference in touchdowns (6), yards (591) and average yards per game (147.8).

Earlier this week Eskridge was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, annually recognizing the college football season's most outstanding FBS receiver. Joining Eskridge on the Paul Hornung Award Honor Roll for this week is Jermar Jefferson (Oregon State), Kobe Lewis (Central Michigan), Devonta Smith (Alabama), Thayer Thomas (NC State) and De'Montre Tuggle (Ohio).
