Box Score NORMAL, Ill. - Western Michigan men's tennis picked up its fourth victory of the season, defeating Illinois State in a non-conference road contest by a final score of 5-2. With the win, the Broncos extend their all-time series lead to 22-6 against the Redbirds.

Peter Kuszynski teamed up for the first time during the dual season, prevailing at #1 doubles over Diego Le Gal Perez and Jorge Bartra. Senior

Zac Faveri were also victorious for the Broncos, clinching the doubles point with a 6-3 win against Melker Isaksson and Brandon Lew.
Western Michigan continued its strong play to start the singles portion, winning the first three matches on the afternoon to secure the victory. Opitz and Nouchi both earned straight set wins, with Kennosuke beating Pol Botifoll in the #2 position (6-0, 6-3). The native of Kashima, Japan has won ten consecutive singles matches dating back to the 2019 Fall season. Faveri recorded the fourth and decisive point for the Broncos after defeating Aleksa Lazarevic 6-1, 6-3. Sophomore
Jack Randall helped his team take four of the six singles matches against the Redbirds, picking up a straight set victory over Nam Pham at the #4 spot.
The Broncos will now head to Indiana for a non-conference match with Valparaiso tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET.
