CLEVELAND – On Wednesday the Western Michigan men's basketball team released its 2019-20 Mid-American Conference schedule.

The Broncos begin the conference season at home on Saturday, Jan. 4 against Ohio before playing four of the next six games on the road. In its first road MAC contest, WMU heads to Akron on Tuesday, Jan. 7 before a MAC West showdown at Toledo on Saturday, Jan. 11.

WMU returns home the following week for back-to-back MAC East match-ups against Bowling Green (Jan. 14) and Kent State (Jan.18) inside University Arena. The Brown & Gold then travels to two-time defending MAC champion Buffalo on Tuesday, Jan. 21 before a trip to Northern Illinois on Jan. 25.

Of the nine games schedule in February, five will be at home for Western Michigan, kicking off the month with a match-up against in-state rival Central Michigan on Saturday, Feb. 1. During the month of February, the Broncos will host Ball State (Feb. 8), Akron (Feb. 18), Toledo (Feb. 22) and Northern Illinois (Feb. 29).

The home finale for the Broncos will be on Tuesday, March 3 against in-state rival Eastern Michigan. WMU concludes the regular season on Friday, March 6 against Central Michigan. WMU will look to capture its 10^th MAC West Title, seventh regular season title and third tournament title.

This year's MAC Men's Basketball Tournament will begin Monday, March 9^th with first round games on campus before moving to Cleveland's Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (March 12-14). The MAC Men's Basketball semifinal game will once again air on CBS Sports Network while the championship game will be played on Saturday, March 14^th (ESPN2).
