KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan men's soccer incoming freshman
Brennan Creek has been named to the
TopDrawerSoccer Fall High School All-Great Lakes Region team.
Creek is the fourth consecutive Michigan Mr. Soccer award-winner to join the Broncos. Hailing from Portage, Mich., Creek led Kalamazoo Hackett Catholic School to four regional titles and two state finals appearances. Throughout his career, Creek was a member of the MHSAA Dream Team, the MLive Player of the Year, and earned All-America and All-State honors. He recorded 129 career goals and 104 assists, culminating with 44 goals and 39 assists in his senior year.
In addition, Creek played his club years with Kalamazoo Kingdom, leading the team to two Super Y League National Championships, a 2016 Michigan State Cup Championship, and the ODP National Championship Finals with the Region II club team.
TDS compiles their annual National High School award winners list with input from media outlets and coaches nationwide to decide which players will be named the top talent in the country. The 88 players named to the All-Region team are eligible for a spot on the 24-player All-American list.
WMU men's soccer opens the 2019 season on Aug. 15 with its annual Brown & Gold Game at 5 p.m., followed by an exhibition at Wright State on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 2 p.m. Admission to WMU men's soccer games throughout the season is free.
