KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan senior running back LeVante Bellamy has been named to the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse.

The Paul Hornung Award, now in its tenth season, is given annually to the most versatile player in major college football by the Louisville Sports Commission and football legend and Louisville native Paul Hornung. The winner and his family will be honored at the annual Paul Hornung Award dinner to be held at the Galt House Hotel in downtown Louisville on March 4, 2020. This will be The Paul Hornung Award's third year as an associate member of the National College Football Awards Association.

Bellamy is one of WMU's most versatile players. The Indianapolis, Ind., native rushed for a career-high 1,228 yards last season and caught a career-high 30 passes out of the backfield. Bellamy also has been called on to return kicks at times, combining for 1,668 all-purpose yards last season.

This is the third watch list that Bellamy has been named to this preseason. He was also selected for the Doak Walker Award (nation's best running back) and the Maxwell Award (national player of the year) watch lists.
