KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Fresh off its 13th Mid-American Conference title in program history this past Sunday, the Western Michigan men's tennis team will find out where its season continues on Monday, April 29, as the NCAA will unveil the brackets for the national tournament live at 6 p.m. The Broncos will be holding a Selection Show party at University Roadhouse beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Fans are invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of the Broncos this season as they gather to watch the NCAA Selection Show on Monday evening. The first and second rounds of the 64-team field will take play May 3-4 at regional sites.Â
University Roadhouse is located at 1332 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49006, with the party taking place in the downstairs patio. Soft drinks and heavy appetizers will also be available.
Western Michigan enters the tournament with a 18-8 overall record riding the high of its second consecutive MAC Championship, defending last year's title with a thrilling 4-3 win over Northern Illinois at Sorensen Courts in Kalamazoo. Last season, the Broncos fell 4-1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament versus No. 25-ranked Notre Dame in Ann Arbor, Mich. Eric Olivarez became the first Bronco tennis player in program history to earn a singles victory in the NCAA Tournament as he won 6-4, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot just moments before the Irish clinched the match.Â
