WMU Announces Football Home-and-Home Series With Syracuse and Pitt

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University Division of Intercollegiate Athletics has announced today contracts to play home-and-home series with Syracuse University and the University of Pittsburgh.

After hosting the Orange in a thrilling game to open the 2018 season, the Broncos welcome them back to Waldo Stadium on Sept. 26, 2020. WMU already travels to Syracuse this coming season and returns on Sept. 9, 2023. Syracuse currently hold 1-0 lead in the all-time series. 

The first ever meeting between the Broncos and Panthers will take place in Pittsburgh on Sept. 18, 2021.  Pitt will come to Western Michigan on Sept. 17, 2022 for the return game of the series. This game will mark the third time a 
Power 5 school has played at Waldo Stadium under WMU head football coach Tim Lester

"We always strive to provide our fans an opportunity to watch the Broncos take on Power 5 opponents in Kalamazoo," said Lester. "These two series bring two of the most historic programs in the country into Waldo Stadium and we couldn't be more excited for the challenge."
