Men's Tennis to Host MAC Tournament

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - For the 12th time in program history, Western Michigan men's tennis will host the Mid-American Tournament April 19-21, 2019, taking place at Sorensen Courts/West Hills Athletic Club.

Admission to the tournament is free of charge. 

The Tournament has transitioned back to a six-team format for the first time since 2012, with the top two seeds receiving a bye straight to the semifinals. The first of two quarterfinal matches will begin at 10 a.m. Friday from Sorensen Courts of West Hills Athletic Club depending on weather conditions.

1:00 p.m. Championship: No. 1 Western Michigan vs. No. 3 Northern Illinois

TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Broncos previously hosted the tournament in 2017, falling to the No. 1 seed Buffalo 4-3 in the championship. WMU has one four of the last seven championships, including a 4-2 win over the Bulls last season at their home court in Buffalo, N.Y. to secure the program's 12th conference tournament title. Buffalo and Ball State have also each won twice dating back to 2011.
