KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan football head coach Tim Lester and the WMU Division of Intercollegiate Athletics have announced the promotion of Drew Robinson to Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations.
Robinson was hired to the role of director of football operations/chief of football staff in 2017. He oversees the football program's budget, non-conference scheduling, off-field personnel and staffing, recruiting, academics, team travel and is also the team's National Football League liaison.
"Drew is a major part of our program and athletic department," praised Lester. "The experience and professionalism he brings to our coaches and players is unparalleled. We are excited to have him here in Kalamazoo."
Robinson spent a total of seven years at Rutgers University, working in football operations, recruiting, marketing and sponsorships. In 2015 he served as director of football operations at Syracuse under Lester and current WMU offensive coordinator Jake Moreland on the 2015 Orange staff.
Robinson holds a bachelor's degree in policy studies with a minor in political science from Syracuse.
