Box Score 2 TEMPE, Ariz.- The Western Michigan softball team fell in a pair of games Saturday at the Kajikawa Classic in Tempe, Ariz. The Broncos fell in game one to PAC-12 opponent Stanford, 5-1, and to Big West opponent Cal State Northridge in game two, 9-2.
WMU concludes its stay in Arizona on Sunday, playing its fourth PAC-12 team in five games, Oregon State, at 11 AM ET.
Stanford took a 2-0 lead with a run in the second and third innings in game one Saturday. Senior first baseman
Jenna Faultersack hit the Broncos' first home run of the season in the top of the fifth, a solo shot to left field, that cut the deficit to 2-1. A three-run home run by Stanford in the bottom of the sixth sealed the Cardinal victory. Sophomore pitcer

Cal State Northridge jumped out to a 5-0 advantage in game two. Senior second baseman
Erin Barg hit a two-run home run for the Broncos in the bottom of the fourth. CSUN closed out its win with four runs in the sixth. Senior pitcher
Jordan Kurth took the game two loss, going 1.2 innings in the start.
Western Michigan had 12 hits combined between the two games. Junior outfielder
Mackenzie Swinehart batted .667 for the day, going 4-for-6. Faultersack finished with three hits.
