MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team dropped its second match of the weekend at the University of Minnesota, falling 6-1 versus the No. 22-ranked Gophers to fall to 5-6 overall on the season.Â
WMU earned a victory at the No. 1 doubles spot with Opitz and Nouchi defeated Krstanovic/Levin 6-4 to improve to 4-1 on the year. Minnesota won at courts two and three, however, to claim the doubles point.Â
The Gophers clinched the match as Opitz fell to Krstanovic, who is ranked 53rd in the nation by the ITA, at the No. 1 singles spot. Haupt took home the sole point for the Broncos with a win at the No. 3 position.Â
