KANSAS CITY, Mo., -- Western Michigan women's soccer sophomore forward Morgan Otteson has been named Third Team United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I All-Midwest Region.
Otteson led the Broncos in total points with 23 and goals with 10. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native earned First Team All-MAC honors after leading the Broncos to a third place finish in the regular season. Five of Otteson's career-high 10 goals resulted in game-winners. She also had three assists on the season, with all three coming in a win over Oakland University.
Otteson saw a big improvement from her freshman season, doubling her goal output. In addition to being the top goal scorer on the team, her 10 goals were also tied for the MAC best. Otteson was also WMU's most efficient scorer. She landed 26 of her 45 total shots on frame, while scoring on 10 of those 26.
