Isaac Walker has been named the MAC Co-Player of the Week, sharing the honor with Akron forward David Egbo. This marks the fourth time a Bronco has received this accolade in 2019, which leads the conference on the year.
Walker had two clean sheets in 187 minutes played last week, helping Western Michigan pick up 1-0 victories over Detroit Mercy and Bowling Green. The native of Orlando, Fla., has a record of 9-2-1 and leads the conference with a .861 goals against average.
The Broncos also entered the United Soccer Coaches national poll at #25 on Tuesday, after receiving votes last week for the first time this season. WMU has gone 7-1-1 in its last nine contests and is currently tied for second place in the MAC with SIU Edwardsville.
Western Michigan will host the Cougars this Saturday at 1 p.m. to celebrate Senior Day and close out the 2019 regular season.
