Scouting the Broncos
With an overall record of 4-2, Western Michigan is off to its best start since the 2014-15 campaign. The Broncos boast the Mid-American Conference's third best offense at 84.0 points per game.
NIT Season Tip-Off
The Broncos are taking part in the 2019 NIT Season Tip-Off Orlando Bracket. Both games are played at HP Field house at the ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex. WMU will square off with Yale on Monday, Nov. 25 and will play either Bucknell or Seattle on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Flowers a Walking Bucket

Michael Flowers is off to a fast start through the first six games of the season, ranking third in the MAC at 20.3 points per game. Flowers' 122 total points ranks as the 11
th most in the NCAA. The Southfield, Mich., native also ranks 15
th in the nation in three-pointers (19) and free-throws made (31).
Free For a Reason
WMU ranks first in the NCAA in free-throws made (137) and free-throws attempted (184). As a team WMU is shooting 74.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Cruz Has Been the Spark Plug
Junior
Rafael Cruz Jr., has been a spark plug off the bench for the Broncos averaging 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the last two games. Against Alma College Cruz Jr. scored a game-high 22 points and nearly posted a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds at Oklahoma State.

Western Michigan ranks first in the MAC and 20
th in the NCAA with 157 three-point attempts. WMU is 25
th in the NCAA in three-pointers made with 53.

Yale (3-3): Yale is the defending Ivy League co-champion and is off to a 3-3 start during the 2019-20 campaign and are coming off a 58-56 loss at Penn State on Saturday. Yale is averaging 76.7 points this season and is led by junior forward Paul Atkinson at 17.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Â
Bucknell (2-4): Bucknell heads into the NIT Season Tip-Off having lost three straight contests by an average of 27.0 points, falling to Canisius, Penn State and Syracuse. The Bison are averaging 69 points per game and have three players averaging in double figures, led by Bruce Moore at 12.2 points per game.
Seattle (2-4): Seattle has lost back-to-back games against Syracuse and Ole Miss and have lost three of its last four contests. In six games this season the RedHawks are led by Terrell Brown with 21.7 points per game to go along with 6.8 rebounds per game.
