KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After a sweep of Ferris State, the Western Michigan hockey team is back in the national rankings. This week WMU holds down the No. 20 spot in the US College Hockey Online poll.

The USCHO.com Poll consists of 50 voters, including coaches and beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.

The new poll gives the Broncos a ranked match up coming into the weekend, hosting No. 19 Omaha on Friday and Saturday. WMU is 1-0-1 against ranked opponents this season, with a 2-2 tie against No. 12 Ohio State and a 5-2 win over No. 17 Bowling Green.

Western Michigan also received votes in the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll.

Tickets for WMU's series against Omaha are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX and online at www.wmubroncos.com/tickets.
