KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's soccer team (10-5-1, 1-1-1 MAC) will host Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon for a Mid-American Conference contest at the WMU Soccer Complex at 1 p.m.

Bowling Green Series History
The Falcons lead the all-time series 28-18-5, however the Broncos have gone 3-0-2 in the last five meetings. Western Michigan defeated BGSU 2-0 in the MAC Semifinals last season in Morgantown, W.Va.

Scouting the Falcons
Bowling Green (9-5-1, 1-2 MAC) has won its last two matches, which included a 3-0 shutout of West Virginia on Saturday in MAC play. The Falcons, who finished second in the conference standings last season, were picked fifth in the 2019 coaches' preseason poll after graduating three First Team All-MAC performers.

Junior midfielder Chris Sullivan leads the conference on the year with nine assists and has recorded a team high 21 points. Senior Anthony Mwembia has started all 15 games in net for the Falcons, earning a .968 goals against average, which ranks him second overall in the MAC.

Double Digit Victories
Western Michigan defeated Detroit Mercy 1-0 in overtime on Tuesday to earn its tenth win of the 2019 campaign. The Broncos have now recorded double-digit victories for the third consecutive season and fourth time under the direction of head coach Chad Wiseman. WMU went 4-0 against in-state opponents this season, picking up previous wins against Michigan, Michigan State and Oakland.

Freshman midfielder Dylan Sing scored the game winning goal in overtime for Western Michigan against the Titans. He became the ninth Bronco this season to score their first goal sporting the black and gold, joining Dalton Michael, Giuseppe Vitale, Sam Biek, Charlie Sharp, Brennan Creek, Eric Conerty, Antonio Rizzo and Max Keenan.

Used Soccer Gear Drive
We are partnering with Aspiras, which donates used soccer gear to low income community youth organizations in the Dominican Republic and was founded by Western Michigan students. They will be accepting donations, such as balls, cleats or other soccer gear that you are no longer using, during our match against Bowling Green tomorrow afternoon, which is free to attend.
