KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey team spends its third straight week ranked in the nation's top 15, holding down the No. 14 spot in the US College Hockey Online Poll release on Monday.

This is the second-straight week WMU has come in at 14, holding steady after going 1-0-1 at the Ice Breaker Tournament over the weekend with a 2-2 tie against No. 12/14 Ohio State and a 5-2 win over No. 17 Bowling Green.

The USCHO.com Poll consists of 50 voters, including coaches and beat writers and sports professionals from across the country. The poll, published weekly by the Associated Press, is a production of USCHO.com, which provides in-depth coverage of college hockey.

WMU also sits in the top 15 of the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine poll for the second-straight week, taking the 15th spot.

The 25th annual USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from coaches and journalists representing each of the six NCAA Division I ice hockey conferences, as well as composite votes from officers of the AHCA and USA Hockey.

Western Michigan battles Bowling Green again this week in a home-and-home series on Friday and Saturday. WMU makes the trip to the BGSU Ice Arena on Friday and then welcomes the Falcons to Lawson Ice Arena on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 1-888-4-WMUTIX and visiting wmubroncos.com/tickets.
