KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Western Michigan women's basketball head coach
Shane Clipfell announced the addition of transfer Reilly Jacobson on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Jacobson, who is enrolled at Western Michigan for the spring semester, played her first two seasons at North Dakota State University and will be eligible to play for the Broncos next season.
A 6'2 forward from Waukee, Iowa, Jacobson led the Bison in 2017-18 with 11.6 points per game as well as 6.7 rebounds per game while earning Honorable Mention All-Summit League honors. She played in all but two contests for NDSU last season, making 13 starts in 27 games played. In 18 games, Jacobson scored in double figures while leading the team with three double-doubles. Jacobson turned in a team-high 129 made field goals, shooting 45.3 percent from the field while also leading the Bison at the charity stripe, going 53-for-63 at the free throw line.Â
During her freshman season, Jacobson made one start in 26 appearances for NDSU. She averaged 6.7 points per game and ranked second on the team with a .478 field goal percentage. Jacobson scored a season-high 20 points at Denver, which was one shy of her career-high 21-point performance versus UT Rio Grande Valley during her sophomore campaign.Â
Prior to North Dakota State, Jacobson was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Waukee High School in Waukee, Iowa. She was a three-time All-State honoree and led Waukee to a state championship in 2015 while setting school records for career scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots.Â
