KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's tennis team and head coach Dave Morin has announced the signing of future Bronco Arjun Honnappa to a National Letter of Intent (NLI) on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Honnappa will be eligible to compete for the Brown & Gold starting the 2019-20 season. 

A native of Bengaluru, India, Honnappa has achieved an ITF career-high score of 549 (combined singles and doubles) and has had a UTR score of 12.20 in the spring of 2018. In India, Arjun's national junior ranking was as high as No. 5 in U16 and No. 12 in U18.

A member of the Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy, Honnappa has maintained a 4.0 grade point average and intends to study business at Western Michigan. He was awarded Sportsman of the Year in 2017 & 2018 at Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain College.
