KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan men's soccer team is set to host the University of Pacific on Sunday, Sept. 30 at WMU Soccer Complex with a noon kickoff. The Broncos will also host the 2018 Soccer Fest, starting at 9:30 a.m. from the WMU Practice Field.Â
Bronco Soccer Fest
The Bronco Soccer Fest will consist of a Pre-Game Tailgate on WMU Practice Field from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Men's soccer then faces the University of Pacific at noon from WMU Soccer Complex.Â

Despite suffering their first deficit in five matchups, the
Broncos scored two unanswered goals to defeat the University of Detroit Mercy 2-1 on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at WMU Soccer Complex. The win stood as the Broncos' fifth-straight, improving their overall record to 6-4.

Elijah Michaels notched the win in net while making his first start since Aug. 30 versus Butler.Â
Series History
Sunday's match will mark just the second all-time matchup between Western Michigan and Pacific. The two teams faced each other for the first time in 2016, with the Tigers prevailing 1-0 in Stockton, Calif. Â

The Tigers, who have received votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches and College Soccer News national polls, are riding a five-game unbeaten streak, which included a 1-0 victory over defending national champion Stanford University. Pacific most recently earned a third-straight win, defeating the University of California, Irvine 4-2 last Sunday, Sept. 23. Camden Riley and Jonathan Jimenez lead the Tiger attack with four goals each. Jimenez was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week Sept. 24 after scoring the game-winners in Pacific's wins over Stanford and UC Irvine.Â

- Tommy Clark was recently selected as a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award.
- Paul Liagre recorded a season-high two assists in the win over Detroit Mercy. He leads the Broncos with four helpers on the season.Â
- WMU ranks first in the MAC with 75 corner kicks, averaging 7.5Â per game.
- WWU has eight different players in the goal-scoring column, with Kosti Moni leading the way with four. Two of his four goals have come on penalty kicks.Â
