Series History
Wednesday's match marks the 30th all-time match between the Western Michigan and Detroit Mercy men's soccer programs, with the Titans owning a 16-9-4 advantage in the series. The Broncos will look for the first win over Detroit since 2007, as the Titans are riding an eight-game unbeaten streak over WMU. The two teams most recently faced each other in 2016, in which the Titans prevailed 2-1 in Kalamazoo. Â

The Titans have been held scoreless during a five-game losing skid, with their sole win of the season coming at Robert Morris on Aug. 31. Detroit most recently fell 3-0 at No. 26-ranked University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) on Saturday, Sept. 22, dropping its overall record to 1-7 on the season. Sophomores Daniel Iyok and Mohamad Miri have tallied the only goals for the Titans. Evan Mazurek and Devin Mendez have shared time in net for the Titans, combining for 29 saves and a 1.73 goals against average.Â
