KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan hockey program wrapped up another Friends & Alumni weekend, capping it off with its annual golf outing at The Moors Golf Club.

Over 220 friends and alumni took part in the weekend's activities, while the golf outing, sponsored by Zeigler Automotive Group, featured 129 golfers. Brett Brier, Dan Tkatchuck, and Jen and Brian Kaufman won the annual scramble. Alumni and fans also saw Steve Abbott and Danny DeKeyser be inducted into the WMU Hockey Ring of Honor, sponsored by Gun Lake Casino.

Throughout the weekend the hockey program was able to raise a significant amount of money for the program. The WMU Hockey program and head coach Andy Murray would like to extend a thank you to all of those who came out as well as the many corporate sponsors that helped to make it a special weekend.
