KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2018 season, with 11 home games set for the campaign.
The Broncos, who have registered at least 10 wins in each of the last five seasons, open with an exhibition game against Valparaiso on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. at the WMU Soccer Complex. The regular season commences on Aug. 17, also at home, against Detroit Mercy. Western Michigan also host Purdue Fort Wayne on Aug. 23 at 5 p.m. and then welcome Wright State on Sunday, Aug. 26 at 1 p.m.
WMU closes out the home non-conference schedule against Illinois-Chicago on Sept. 7 at 5 p.m. Western Michigan travels to Michigan, Oakland, Purdue and Indiana State during the non-conference season.
The Broncos open Mid-American Conference play with two home games against Akron at 4 p.m. on Sept. 21 and then against Buffalo on Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. WMU also hosts Miami on Oct. 4, Central Michigan on Oct. 14 and closes out MAC playing with Northern Illinois coming to town on Oct. 25. Western Michigan's travels to Toledo, Bowling Green, Ball State, Kent State and Ohio in conference play.
